Roseanna Lawrence

Roseanna lives in Manchester. She was born in the 1970's. She has studied psychology and music. She has a BSc and an MSc in psychology. She has also studied Music Theory, Music Production, Sound Design, Orchestration, Film Composition, and English Literature and creative writing. 

She has created many albums relating to the paranormal, ghost and horror genres. All of her styles of music are very different; some albums include very experimental sounds, others do not. But her favourites are experimental. 

She has a huge eclectic music collection of most genres, rock, folk, pop, dance, psychedelic disco, jungle, soul,  hip-hop, classical, etc. She also has a huge film collection. 

In psychology, she is particularly interested in childhood trauma and its long-term effects -  and using music and the arts to heal trauma in adulthood. The mind and landscape (the effect of environment and buildings on the mind). The effect of films and art on the mind. music and psychology, sexual attraction and sex lives and Psychology. 

Achievement and resilience in performance despite challenges. She believes that anyone can achieve despite disadvantages. 

Research into child development, music, film and forensic psychology.

She is unconventional in thinking and is not a person to follow conventions or always follow social rules. 

Other interests: reading, creative writing, experimental films, nature, surrealism, the occult, altered states of conciousness, photography, architecture, art and history. She likes doing field recordings with her sound recorder.  

She loves horror films and any film that is surreal. From the 1970s. Programmes/series including Tales of Unease, Beasts, Ace of Wands, BBC Ghost Stories, The Hammer House of Horror series, The Mind Beyond, Chocky, Ghost Story, Thriller, and Children of the Stones. 

Her favourite modern British filmmakers are Peter Strickland and Ben Wheatley.
